Edit Photos With Color Effects

Advances in technology has allowed photography to grow from monochrome production to color. Appreciation of color helps you apply the technology to photography more effectively. Color effects on a photo can be edited using the latest photo-editing software and graphics. Monochrome photos can be edited to color and color photos edited to monochrome using such software.

Instructions

1. Take photos with your digital camera. Upload these photos to your computer. Save the photos in a folder in your computer. Store the photos in your camera's memory card for backup purposes. Download photos from the Internet to use if you do not have a camera. Choose photos that give you a range of colors to explore with.

2. Get photo-editing software that can change the color settings of a photo. Check the range of colors in your software by clicking on the color-effects menu. Ensure the color ranges available suit the changes you want to make to your photo.

3. Drag the photo you want to edit to the photo-editing software. Change the photo to monochrome so that you can change the colors without interference. Make sure the black-and-white shades on the photo are clear. Adjust the brightness if the shades are too dark or too light, because this will affect the color shades you use on the photo.

4. Choose the shades of colors you want to use on the photo from the "Effects" menu and apply the color effects. Reverse the color effects in case you need to make any new changes. Save the final changes of the color effects on your photo to a different folder.
