Instructions
1. Try your hand at Portrait Illustration Maker. This free service lets you create your own cartoon avatar. Choose a face shape and define the features and coloring. Watch your avatar develop in the left corner or the website as you choose a shirt and accessories. Select the hairstyle and color; add a background and your avatar is ready to go. Just click the download button. With the accessorizing, makeup, hairstyle and headwear options, you can make your avatar look like a crazy Viking warrior or a soccer mom.
2. Try Portrait Mail for a faster option. You send a photo online; within a few minutes, you receive an email containing a link to a cartoon avatar based on that photo. The site claims that no humans see the photo and that it's deleted from the system as soon as the avatar is made. To be cautious, send them a photo of someone else who looks like you that you found on the Web. Don't expect the avatar to look exactly like you, though -- it's only an approximation. Send the email with the photo attached and list an age in the subject line. Send the email to female@portraitmail.com or male@portraitmail.com. Attach a photo and put an age in the subject line. Leave the body of the email blank.
3. Make a Simpson's avatar at The Simpson's Movie website. Navigate to the Web page and click the "Create Your Simpsons Avatar" tab at the top of the page. Click "Create Avatar" from the drop-down screen. Click the "Login/Register" button to save and print the avatar you build. Click "New Character" to begin making your avatar. Choose sex, skin color, hairstyle, clothing and other characteristics.
