Glue Rhinestones To A Card

Rhinestone craft gems can be used to add glamour and sparkle to everyday cards. These stones are appropriate for nearly any card occasion. Whether you are adding rhinestones to a wedding invitation or a birthday card, they will add a hand-crafted finishing touch. To add rhinestones onto a greeting card, you will need tweezers, glue and a paintbrush. Adding these stones is extremely simple, and only takes a few minutes to do.

Instructions

1. Pour all of the rhinestone craft gems out of the bag onto a flat surface. Be careful not to allow them to spill off the surface you are working on.

2. Decide how you want to organize the rhinestones on the card. Lay the card out flat and practice laying the rhinestones in the pattern you intend to place them. Do not add any glue to the stones until you know how they will be arranged.

3. Mark the spots where you intend to place the stones with a pen. Make a very small dot on the card so that you will remember where each rhinestone gem needs to go.

4. Pick up one of the rhinestones using the tweezers.

5. Dip the tip of the paintbrush into the craft glue. Paint a light layer of glue onto the back of the rhinestone. Be careful not to over-apply the glue.

6. Place the rhinestone gem onto one of the marked spots on the card using the tweezers. Press the rhinestone firmly with your index finger to make sure it is securely attached to the card.

7. Repeat steps 4 to 6 with the rest of the stones until all of them have been applied to the card. Allow the glue to dry thoroughly before inserting the card into the envelope.
