Make Temporary Tattoos
A lot of people like the concept of body art, via tattoos. After all, their favorite celebrities are often a road map of artwork from the nape of their necks to the tips of their toes. Yet, while many might like to try a tattoo, some aren't ready to commit to something permanent. That isn't a problem with homemade temporary tattoos.

Temporary Tattoos Using Clipart
1. Decide what type of tattoo design is desired, and determine the size and colors that will be used and where on the body the tattoo will be placed.
2. Decide on a professional-looking temporary tattoo using a computer desktop publishing program, a color printer and temporary tattoo paper (that can be purchased online) or on a stenciled or drawn-on design done by hand. Hand-painted or stencil designs can be filled in with body paint, henna ink or nail polish.
3. Choose professional clip art designs and move the design into a computer desktop publishing program. This can be done by finding free clip art graphics online, through desktop publishing programs or by scanning a chosen design into the computer system.
4. Pull the clip art into a program, where it can be manipulated as desired to make it bigger or smaller or change some or all of the colors.
5. Print the finished tattoo design onto temporary tattoo paper.
6. Apply the tattoo as directed by the paper's instructions.
Temporary Tattoos Using Stencils
7. Choose a stencil design or make a handmade stencil design.
8. Clean the area of skin with soap and water.
9. Pat the area dry with a towel. Make sure there are no dirty areas or wounds in this part of the skin.
10. Place the tattoo stencil on the area of the body where you would like to have the tattoo. Fill in the stencil tattoo with washable body paints, nontoxic washable henna ink or nail polish in the desired colors.
