Make Your Own Animated Twilight Icons

Twilight is one of the best selling teen book series of all time and the movie based on the books is just as popular. Those who are fans of the series often wonder how they can make animated icons of their favorite characters. These animated icons flash and change from one scene to another quickly and they're fairly easy to make. The best way to make animated Twilight icons is by using Photoshop.

Instructions

1. Gather together your Twilight images and upload them into Photoshop, using a new layer for each image. Simply open a new photo in the program, then click "Add Layer" and add your next image. Do this for each image you want.

2. Go to "Edit" in "Image Ready", which shows as a small icon on the bottom left hand screen as an arrow. You can also press Shift, Control and M to enter this area.

3. Look for the animation window that pops up on the screen and select "Create a New Layer". Adjust the visibility until you get it setup to something you like. This shows how your images change into each other and how dark or light they look during the transition. Continue changing each layer until there's a new layer for each image.

4. Adjust the speed of the animated icon by right clicking on the animated layer and setting the speed. You can choose no delay or a delay of up to ten seconds. It's a matter of personal preference, depending on how fast you want each image to transition into each other.

5. Save the finished animated Twilight icon by going to "File" and then "Save Optimized Image As". Pick a name that's easy for you to remember and a location where you can find it later. Your icon is now ready for use on your website or instant messenger program.
